Wedding Flowers Terms & Conditions

Booking & Payment

Payment

Payment is required in 3 stages:
1. An initial £50 non refundable booking fee is required to secure the date of the wedding.
2. At least 6 weeks before the wedding the details will be finalized and at this point 25% of the order balance will need to be paid.
3. We require the final balance at least 2 weeks before the wedding date.

We are happy to receive other payments, such as monthly payments, as long as the minimum requirements as set out above are met.

Please note if the above requirements are not met, the arrangements made will be cancelled and the booking fee will not be refunded.

Where a booking is made within 6 weeks of the wedding date full details will be required at the time of booking together with 25% of the balance, to secure the date.
Where a booking is made within 2 weeks of the wedding date the full balance must be paid, and full details will be required, to secure the date.

Any additions made to your order after the final balance is paid will need to be paid for in full at the time of order or, with prior agreement; can be billed after the wedding.
If any amounts are outstanding after the date of the wedding an invoice will be sent detailing the amounts owed and payment will need to be made within 7 days of the invoice date.
Any amounts not paid after this time will incur charges and any legal fees incurred in the recovery of unpaid amounts will also be added to the amount due.

Payments may be made by cash, cheques made payable to Expressive Designs or via paypal.

Booking

A booking is only made, and a date secured for you, upon receipt of the payments outlined above. Booking fees are accepted on a strictly first come, first served basis, and dates are not held after a consultation until the booking fee has been received.

Delivery

Delivery is included within 20 miles each way. Above this a charge of 50p per mile each way for delivery is made. This charge is calculated on the distance of the furthest delivery address, and no charge is made for the distance between delivery addresses.
A maximum of 3 deliveries will be made, based on the flower order. For example, delivery of the bouquets to one address, reception and civil ceremony flowers to the venue & church flowers to the church. Any further deliveries will incur an additional charge at 50p per mile. This cost will be given to you in writing along with the quote for the flowers.

Set-Up

The price you have been quoted includes the set-up & positioning of any decorations, gifts & candles purchased or hired from Expressive Designs.

Transfer of items between venues

Upon request, it is usually possible for us to arrange for the transfer of items such as Pedestals between the Church & the Reception venue. This service is charged at £1 a mile. The cost will be provided to you in writing along with the quote for your flowers.

Hire

Delivery to the appropriate venue is included in the cost of any items hired from Expressive Designs. However, it is your responsibility to ensure their safe return.
All items hired from Expressive Designs must be returned to Expressive Designs within 3 working days of the wedding date.
This hire period can normally be extended free of charge by request prior to the wedding and will be confirmed in writing.
The return date notified must be kept or the hire charge will be applied for each additional 3 days or part of.
Any items that are damaged or not returned will be charged for at the full sale price, details of which are available on request. This cost will be invoiced to you upon notification/non-return of items & payment is subject to the above terms regarding payment of amounts outstanding after the wedding, see ‘Payment’
If you are unable to return the hired items to us, it may be possible to arrange for collection, but this will be charged at £1 per mile each way.

Varieties

In the event of a chosen variety/shade being unavailable or of poor quality the nearest alternative will be used. Whilst every care will be taken to ensure a good colour match, due to the nature of fresh flowers we cannot guarantee the shade

Cancellation

In the unfortunate event of the wedding being cancelled please inform us immediately.
The initial booking fee is non-refundable once paid
Any additional deposit(s) paid will not be refunded within 6 weeks of the wedding.
If the wedding is cancelled within 2 weeks of the wedding date, any monies paid to Expressive Designs will be non refundable.
Initially please make contact by telephone or email, which will need to be followed up by written confirmation of the cancellation. If written confirmation is received without telephone/email contact, we will telephone you on the number provided at your initial consultation to confirm the cancellation. These procedures are in place to prevent the wrongful cancellation of a wedding date, which may then be booked by another party.

Changes To These Terms and Conditions

These Terms and conditions are subject to change at any time and without notice, Any changes will also affect bookings made prior to the amendments, the only exception is Prices, If a party has booked a date and paid monies owed as set out above, then any price increases will not affect that particular booking

Please note that payment of the £50 booking fee is deemed as acceptance of these terms & conditions. Please ensure that you have read & are familiar with their contents.
